Fine Art Winter Barn Wedding Inspiration, with Organic Hues

March 3, 2016 | INSPIRATION, Photo Shoots

Fine art weddings are pretty beautiful. They’re light, airy, and romantic. But what if you’re a couple who also likes things a little clean and modern too?

Today’s shoot, in beautiful Texas venue, the White Sparrow barn, combines Southern charm, rustic French vibes, classic calligraphy, modern lucite touches, and organic floristry, to create a wedding inspiration that’s still somehow, fresh and minimal.

With some rather wonderful Texas wedding vendors lending their talents, the shoot was captured by Kevin & Stephanie and planned and designed by Alexander Event Co.

With the flickering candles, and lots of greenery, we think styling like this would be just perfect for a winter wedding, that doesn’t have all the usual festive sparkle and opulence, but is just as romantic and cosy.

But enough of our gushing, we’ll hand you over to the lovely Christine of Alexander Event Co. to tell us more about the inspiration behind this beautiful shoot…

About the Shoot

The shoot took place at the beautiful White Sparrow in Quinlan, Texas – a barn with an old world French feel that is drenched from floor to ceiling in all white.

We thought it would be so dreamy to have an all white celebration in a venue like that.

We wanted the decor to feel like it was floating so we used glass cake stands, lucite chairs and columns with tall white tapers in clear bud vases (once those candles were lit…magic!).

Even our model looked like she was floating as she walked around in the gorgeous Eugenia Couture dress with it’s long train and tulle overlay.

To keep everthing from blending in, we incorporated a lot of texture into the shoot, from the gorgeous La Tavola tablecloth to the handmade wafer paper flower laurel on the cake.

Mini terrariums filled with moss at each place setting, garlands of greenery and an overflowing bouquet gave the shoot a simple and organic feel.

All of the wonderful vendors pulled together to create a day that really was like something straight out of a dream.

Thanks so much to Kevin & Stephanie, Alexander Event Co. and the rest of the talented team for sharing this gorgeous inspiration shoot!
